Welcome to Bramley Grove

Bramley Grove is a modern, purpose built care home situated in the residential area of Yardley Wood, Birmingham.  This home seeks to provide the highest standards of nursing and dementia care in a warm and homely environment. Bramley Grove differs somewhat from neighbouring sister home – Bramley Court – in that it provides a service for residents who often are starting out on their dementia journey.

The team at Grove know that residents require initial reassurance and do try to alleviate the anxiety that new residents often display when first admitted. Some of those new residents also may be mildly confused about their declining health condition and so where possible, we seek to orientate residents to time and place and to deliver services that are stimulating and individualised in an attempt to extend their periods of lucidity and wellness. As decline invariably progresses and dependency increases with associated behavioural change, the Grove often refers residents to Court, as that home manages residents with more intensive care and support needs.

State of the art Care Protect system installed

Bramley Grove also has the state of the art Care Protect system installed. Once consent has been obtained, the system can be used in a number of ways. Randomised monitoring over a period of time will ensure care is delivered in a consistent and kind way. Care Protect monitors can also ‘live view’ a room for a period of time if any concern exists about a residents safety and welfare. On occasions and if a resident was unwell or acutely disturbed, Care Protect staff can overnight observe in an attempt to promote a ‘peaceful night’ that would otherwise be interrupted if staff were continually going to the room to conduct checks in person. An option is also available to review footage retrospectively should any untoward incident have occurred.

Care Protect monitors are health and social care professionals who have many years of care experience. Many have had long careers in the NHS.
